General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Noted your history of weight lifting in past, pain in left groin and scrotum, ultrasound being normal and Doctor said that there is no hernia. There is a lump that you can feel.
If there is no hernia then this is surely due to local muscle problem, may be hematoma or muscle spasm.
Take an anti-inflammatory with painkiller properties and see the effects.
Stop any activity that causes strain in the said area.
Avoid constipation and any strenuous activity.
Review ultrasound if the following signs are present:
Put a palm on the area and cough hard, if there is any impulse on coughing that can be seen or felt this can be hernia or a bubonocele that is difficult to diagnose in the initial stages, hence the need to review.
Consult a General Surgeon as he is more trained in such cases to have proper clinical examination and investigations to give you a proper diagnosis so that a proper management as per the cause can be done.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, ENT and General Surgeon
