Hi,
The testicles are very sensitive and even a minor injury can cause
testicle pain or discomfort. Pain might arise from within the testicle itself or from the coiled tube and supporting tissue behind the testicle (epididymis). Causes of testicle pain and tenderness are
epididymitis (inflammation of epididymis), orchitis (inflammation of testicle),
testicular torsion (twisted testicle), mumps, hydrocele (fluid buildup which causes swelling of the scrotum), inguinal hernia, idiopathic
testicular pain (unknown), kidney stones, prostatitis, scrotal masses, injury or blow to the testicle,
urinary tract infection, spermatocele ( fluid buildup in the testicle), varicocele (enlarged veins in the scrotum) etc. Treatment depends on causes. So, some investigations like ultrasound, urine R/M/E & C/S, urethral or prostatic swab for C/S etc to find out the underlying causes for left testicular pain and then treat them accordingly. NSAIDS like ibuprofen or naproxen can be taken for pain relief.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
