What Causes Tenderness And Pain In The Labia Majora?

my bf scratched my vagina a couple days ago. The inside of the lip at the entrance but still on the outside of me. It is REALLY tender and hurts when I use the bathroom. Will it heal on its own or do I need something for it? It's not a deep cut or anything. How do I care for the scratch?
