What Causes Tenderness And Redness On The Nipples?

I have had nipple tenderness, redness but that has stopped, slight changes of area around nipple. Recent biopsy with needle and doctor said possible blood or debris filled as it disappeared. Underarm pain but notbnoticeable swelling. CNBC results normal. I m waiting on pathology and see rate results. Some ducts in Breast are dilated. My underarm pain is what concerns me and possible cancer diagnosis. If labs are normal on CNBC am I probably safe of malignancy

Hello,

* As per my clinical experience, the issue sounds to be acute inflammation of the areola and nipple.

* There sounds to be least or no possibility of malignancy, though better insight can be sorted out after the detailed reports.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel,
