What Causes Tenderness And Soreness On The Head?

I was putting rubbish in a large plastic dumpster when the propped up lid crashed down on my head. It hurt A LOT but I did not lose consciousness. 24 hours later the top of my head is still physically tender and sore when I touch it. I am not sure whether to go to a doctor...I am an anxious person so am now creating the symptoms of mild concussion (which with the insight I have I know my mind is capable of doing). My head feels heavy and sort of dull, but I don t have a headache as such. I know it s impossible to give a definitive diagnosis over the internet, but any guidance would be appreciated. I am able to drive, only brief blurred vision which went back to normal almost straight away, went to work okay today.
