What Causes Tenderness And Stinging Sensation In Waist Upon Stretching After Falling?

I had a fall from my horse this morning. I landed on my right side. There are minor scrapes. But around the waist area is tender to the touch. If I lean and strain to do something, such as close a car door, I get a stinging sensation in the area. Should I be highly concerned?
