What Causes Tenderness And Swelling In Elbow After An Elbow Injury?
my 16 old daughter was at softball practice this evening and was hit in the elbow with a bat.she has mild tenderness and swelling in the elbow but says it hurts to grasp anything with that hand and shows lack of strength in the hand. should we simply rest it, ice it, or is this something that needs to be seen by a doctor.

It may be due to injury..
For further assessment you may require x ray elbow after orthopedic surgeon consultation.
For pain you can take tablet acetaminophen.
Further treatment mainly depends upon the underlying condition.
Restrict your movements.
Use sling.
