What Causes Tenderness In Groin Area And Ingrown Hair On Penis?

Hello, a couple days ago my boyfriend discovered that on both sides of his groin it was tender. He had an ingrown hair on his penis that seemed to go away. However today, we realized the spot is more red and it appears to be swollen. The base of his penis is now puffy below where the hair was. The area below the wound doesn t hurt unless he directly touches the bump. What could this be?

Hi,
It seems that he might be having ingrown hair follicle infection leading to enlarged tender inguinal lymph nodes.
He might require one course of antibiotic medicine for 3-5 days to cure this infection.
Clean local part properly and apply antibiotic cream.
Keep local hygiene proper.
