General & Family Physician 's  Response
hi,
Thanks for the query I understand your concern.
Tenderness in constipation is due to stuffed/ stretched intestines unable to move ( as stools become harder day by day )
Alternatively swollen appendix can cause pain under belly button.
As symptom of constipation there develops lack of appetite & no wish to eat due to pain & fullness... this in turn increases constipation,
. * Evacuation of bowels should be attempted first( Enema/ glycerin suppository at a fixed time daily , till the bowel evacuation habit is formed )
* followed by eating ( with high fiber & lot of water through out the day)
* regular exercises ( like running/ swimming,abdominal exercises)help,
* Avoiding caffeine
* treating for any bowel infections by family physician.
Thanks
