I had the symotoms of pregnancy, my breasts were very tender for threeish weeks, so tender even a t shirt hurt, and I was two weeks late for my period. Finally my period started but it was unlike any period I've ever had. It was like so full of tissue and something stretchy red and black mostly black. So much blood loss for two days and by the end of the second day its more red less black but still so much debris. And about every half an hour I get a sharp pain in my left side near my ovary that knocks the wind out of me. Does this sound like a miscarriage or can periods be so full of "chunk" should I go to urgent care or let it pass?
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Delayed periods, tender breasts, passage of clots and tissue like substance is suggestive of miscarriage. I would suggest you to get a urine pregnancy test done, and if positive then the miscarriage is diagnosed. The pain in the left ovary can be due to ectopic pregnancy or any cysts in the ovary, or due to pelvic inflammatory disease. I would suggest you to consult an OBGYN specialist to get properly examined, investigated and treated accordingly. Hope you found the answer helpful. Wishing you good health. Dr Neeraj Kumar
