What Causes Tenderness In The Knee?

Doctor, 1. I have been suffering from tenderness in my right knee. It gets difficult to negotiate stairs. However, I can walk almost freely. 2. I have taken physiotherapy from a qualified /experienced physiotherapist for 16 consecutive days. Now advised for a 10/12 days break. 3. In between, I have to go through a hectic schedule of professional work which included intensive walking which has resulted in re-appearance of the discomfort / tenderness in the knee. QUESTION : May I take ZERODOL-P when the discomfort / tenderness intensifies. (Normally, I do not prefer pain killers but for emergency situations there is no way out.) With thanks and regards, G C Bandyopadhyay

Hello,

It may be due to blunt trauma.

For pain you can take tablet acetaminophen.

Use knee cap.

Restrict your movements

In case of not getting relief you may require MRI knee

Hope I have answered your query..
Let me know if I can assist you further.
