What Causes Tenderness In The Lower Abdomen And Bowel Incontinence?

I ve had lower abdominal tenderness and involuntary discharges of stool colored mucus since yesterday. I was casually diagnosed with IBS with constipation about 5 years ago, so take Citracel from time to time. I ve resumed taking my Citracel every morning. I m just assuming once the fiber kicks in and gives me some normal bowel movements, I ll feel better. Just wondering when I should seek medical help. No fever, bloody stools, or extreme pain.

# drink plenty of liquids preferably boiled water, coconut water, green tea,

# consume light diet in small amounts at regular intervals
