Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Tenderness In The Upper Abdominal Region?
I have been experiencing occasional tenderness about a half-inch above my belly button over the past 4 months. The pain goes away quickly, within minutes. This happens about 4 to 5 times per month. It seems to happen on an empty stomach, when I am standing. My bowel movements are regular. I am a vegan and am fairly active. I am a 45 year old female and have no other health issues.
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, what the abdomen pain you have could be due to colicky abdomen pain and it may be nonspecific, if it is chronic one then better to get done some tests like plain x-ray abdomen, ultrasonography, these are just to rule out the Gastrointestinal pathologies, till then Tab Dicyclomine can be tried as per needed hope this information helps.
