What Causes Tenderness On Cheek Bone After Getting Hit?

I took a steel door from a tractor trailer to my left cheek (facial) one week ago. I have a blood red eye (subconjuctive hemorage?) and the swelling has gone done. Changes in color look like healing, however I am very tender atop the cheek bone. I have been debating on a x-ray but do not have my co-pay in. I am just looking for an OPINION, I will not hold you to an answer sight unseen. I treated with cold first 24-48 hrs and and switched to warm wash clothes since. Thanks for any help and or opinion.
