What Causes Tendon Tear And Bone Spur In Shoulder Joint?

I developed shoulder pain right after finishing a course of levaquin for a sinus infection. I had an MRI which shows a partial tendon tear and an impinging bone spur. I never had shoulder pain before. I just found the information relating levaquin to tendon problems. I am scheduled for surgery in March to repair tear and remove bone spur. How likely is it that the antibiotic caused the tear and would the treatment be different if it did? thank you.
