What Causes Terrible Itching And Crawling Sensation All Over The Body?
Hi, I am having terrible itching all over the body with no Whelps. I have hives for 14 yrs but they don t look like hives according to the Allergist. I am on prednisone and other Antihistamine meds. It gets bad at night and as a result I cannot sleep. I am also having some weird tingling or crawling feeling in the left side and middle of the back. Blood work came normal, Biopsy has not been done yet. Would appreciate your opinion. Thanks, SS

Hi,
It is possible that the itching at night is related to scabies. This particular infection tends to cause itching that is worse at night.
There are different treatment options eg permethrin, lindane, crotamiton. Your doctor can determine if scabies is a possibility, if so then he or she can prescribe one of these for you.
