What Causes Testicle Pain And Swelling, Flatulence And Incomplete Stool Voiding,

Hi! i feel gas and some pain in my lower right side just at a little right of my right testicle. I'm also not able to empty myself after passing stool. Sometimes i feel my right testicle is swollen. This becomes severe if I sit for more than two hours on a chair with my computer. Can you tell me what could be causing this problem? Thanks in advance.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of feeling of gas and some pain in lower right side just at a little right of my right testicle. You are also not able to empty yourself after passing stool. Sometimes you feel that your right testicle is swollen. This becomes severe if you sit for more than two hours on a chair with your computer. Wants to know what could be causing this problem?

You have given a classical history.
The problems are most probably due to the following reasons:
- The feeling of incomplete evacuation can be due to colitis or IBS (irritable bowel syndrome). Get an opinion of a Gastroenterologist, get a course of an antibiotic and Metronidazole along with probiotics and high fiber diet, you may be fully benefited and if not then you may need further tests.
- Your Second problem is about the pain in the right lower side just right to the right testicle. This may be due to hernia expansion or epididymo-orchitis.
- Your third problem related to the swelling of the right testicle on sitting for 2 hours.
This indicates that there can be a funicular hernia which goes down to the scrotal sac and get filled by the fluid from the peritoneal cavity.

The best ways to get a correct diagnosis are:
- Ultrasonography of the abdomen and the scrotum also with color doppler mode.
- Clinical evaluation with examination by a General Surgeon or an Urologist can get a correct diagnosis and plan for the treatment which can be surgical.
I hope this answer helps you.
