What Causes The Biting Of Taste Buds On The Tongue?

Hi, I am really worried. I have been biting my taste buds off of my tongue for a while now (3 months). It hurts terribly, but it brings me some sort of satisfaction, which isn t healthy. I was diagnosed with depression/anxiety/PTSD last Fall, but haven t been on medication for a while because I can t afford it. I am scared that I may also have OCD now... but I m not sure. I guess I m just confused on what this could be because it seems to be much more than just a daily ritual/habit. Any advice would be great! Thank you.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
hello

Biting is generally a stress response and i would like you to meet your psychiatrist , who will counsel you and start you on medications to reduce the stress/anxiety and once that is controlled , your biting habit will also stop. Please dont worry , you will be fine.

Take care!
