What Causes The Dried Blood Clot During Menstruation?

Hi, so today is the first day of my period, and after using the bathroom and wiping i noticed a clot that looked old and dry, with no blood on it, it literally just seemed old and dry. I have never seen this or had this happen to me, and was wondering if this was normal? My flow right now is light i would say, i don t know if this information will help me get a better answer. Thank you.

Hi,

Please do not panic.

It can be a couple of days old bleeding that might have formed a clot and has got expelled later. That's why, it is solid, dark without fresh blood.
