What Causes The Elevated Results Of Liver Enzymes?

I am 50 years old and my AST (SGOT) was 55 high and my ALT (SGPT) was 99 high. I do not drink alcohol nor do I take tylenol. I was wondering if this is because I take 8 vitamins daily. Calcuim 1200 mg, C 1,000 mg, B-12 1,000 mg, D- 1,000, Super B-complex 400 mg, & in the evening prime rose oil once a week, E 400 I.U., & I just recently started taking L-theanine twice a day 400 mg. Do you think that taking all of these vitamins contributes to my elevated levels? I am a healthy women who exercises daily and eats healthy.

Thank you for posting your query.
presentation of cute hepatitis.
acute liver injury is "reversible".
it maybe caused by certain medications.

increase in the level of liver enzymes(AST,ALT) reflect an INJURY to the Liver. medically, the condition is know as "Hepatitis". it maybe caused by:
1. Virus (A, B, C, D, E) 2. Alcohol
3. "drug induced (medication)"
4. Gall bladder or common bile duct pathology
5."Fat excess"

did you get test results for for HBsAg, anti HCV, Anti HAV, Lipid profile.?
HAV is a common cause of acute hepatitis and self limited. Patient recovers in 3 to 6 weeks (enzyme return to normal).

after obtaining results of aforementioned tests, post here or visit treating physician.
meanwhile:
advice:
- abstinence from "Alcohol and drugs"
- NO fat diet should be followed for one week
- NO red meat
- vegetables should be ingested daily
- Moreover, less activity should be carried out (no sports), REST more.
- use lemon juice (lemonade) once in a day
