What Causes The Feeling Like Something Stuck In Throat?

I m a 60 yeat old female (if it makes a difference) lately I have been getting a feeling like there is something stuck in my throat (or a lump), it actually hurts. It feels uncomfortable to swallow, and is more uncomfortable if I push on the area.....The feeling usually subsides after a while. Anything I should be looking for or concerned about

Hello,
Thanks for asking at HCM,
Yes your age is important , some of the diseases occur in some age groups.
You need to consult to an ent specialist as throat pain or difficulty in swallowing can not be left without examination.
You need to get done fiberoptic laryngoscopy to get the throat examined and if it is normal then may be lower food pipe examintaion will be required.
If you have reflux disease which is more common in old age then you need to take medicines for that.
like anti reflux medication.
