What Causes The Feeling Of A Lump In The Throat?

I suddenly felt like I had a lump in my throat. It s not painful but it s annoying when I swallow. I ate hours ago and wasn t having any problems before. Lately, I havebeen feeling sluggish because my iron level is low. I have a history of iron deficiency anemia.

Hi...Can understand your concern....As per your query about lump in throat which is not painful can be tonsilitis...Usually lump is not formed in throat due to common infections....I would suggest that if it is causing much discomfort and if you're noticingchange. in siz,e you should consult a physician and go for biopsy to know the exact cause..It is not related to anemia but if you have had any cold drinks or ice creams recently it may have caused tonsilitis ,you can do warm saline gargles and get itevaluated by a physician. I hope the information helps .Takecare.
