What Causes The Feeling Of Blockage In Throat?

What causes a feeling of thickness as though I have a blob in my throat, changes in my voice as if I have have very bad cold. Its been an issue for several months. I have had my blood pressure medication changed with no difference. My doc thinks I m a pain in the butt and my parishioners are concerned because I sound like I am talking through a blob of phlem that I keep trying to swallow. I do have GERD but no symptoms.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, yes of course this is a GERD and these could be the symptoms of it only some time this may not manifest the typical symptoms of hyperacidity in form of GERD, in my opinion condition can be managed with PPI (Proton pump inhibitor ) like "Tab Omeprazole 40 mg and Tab Domperidone 30 mg" once in day at evening time for four weeks, antihistamine can be tried "Tab Loratadine" would be best choice try it once in day, hope this information helps, take care.
I find this answer helpful
