General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It is possible that you aspirated a bit of the chocolate, which means some of that went down into your lungs. Your lungs and immune system are trying to fight it and break it down. I would advise you to try incentive spirometry to help move things along. If this persists, you should get a chest X-ray to see if you have a pneumonia going on.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pranav Balakrishnan, General & Family Physician
