What Causes The Feeling Of Food Stuck In The Throat?
I was eating a life saver mint and swallowed it whole started choking and then drank pop and it felt like it went down more. Kept drinking different kinds of liquid and ate tiny pieces of bread. Still feels like it s stuck though. Do u think it s still stuck or it just scratched my throats from being stuck
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of feeling of food stuck in the throat which is due to granular pharyngitis and due to irritation of lining of throat.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to
- Avoid eating and drinking acidic , spicy and hot food and beverages.
- Do warm saline gargles.
- Take small meals and avoid large meals.
- Sip warm water after every few minutes.
If condition doesn't get better in 2-3 days then consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis and go for swab test. Go for sputum test as well if required and start treatment as per proper diagnosis.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon. Best wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
