What Causes The Feeling Of Something Stuck In The Throat?
Hi I suffer really bad with anxiety and didn t eat for over a year because I thought I was going to choke and die and I ve recently started eating again and I had a meal around half hour ago and ever since it feels like something small is hanging on at the back of my throat if that makes sense I keep trying to wash it down but it s not budging is this a graze??
Understanding your concern. As per your query feeling of something stuck in the throat is due to granular pharyngitis or upper respiratory tract infection. But there can be other reasons also like tonsillitis , diverticulitis , esophageal web or some foreign body. I would suggest you to avoid eating and drinking acidic , spicy and hot food and beverages . Do warm saline gargles . If condition doesn't get better in 2-3 days then consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis and go for swab test. Doctor may also go for throat endoscopy. Go for sputum test as well if required and start treatment as per proper diagnosis. Sip warm water after every few minutes.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
