What Causes The Fetus' Heartbeat To Stop?

I found out that I have cancer and my babies heartbeat stopped it was fine last week when I received my checkup but this week I found out it stopped and I have stage 2 cancer how can this happen please help also I was already pretty much at the end of my pregnancy so I don't understand how this could have happened

It is very unfortunate that the pregnancy has been lost at this stage. Several causes could be at play like utero-placental insufficiency, fetal anomalies, tight loop of umbilical cord around the fetal neck, maternal disease affecting the fetus in utero etc. You did not mention what type of cancer you have, so, it is difficult to comment on its influence on this pregnancy. If delivery has been hastened owing to fetal demise, please make sure you have coagulation profiles done and also postmortem of the baby is done to know the cause. Hope this helps.
