Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 40 years old and had a heart attack in Nov 2010 in which I went into cardiac arrest and flatlined over 5 mins. Since then they have found that I haved gastritus, ulcers and gallbladder functioning @ 24%. I previously been diagnosed with antibody difenciency and IBS. The surgeons won't touch the gallbladder or do a colonoscopy due to I have had polyps removed in the past and if they found them could not remove them now. I have 10 stints and on blood thinners. Still having chest pains and abdominal pain. Can't eat without pain. Don't know what is going on or where to go next.
Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thank you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein, I understand your concerns and I will try to help you as much as I can. There is no specific reason for something like this and gallbladder which is evaluated with HIDA scan may show such results even if there are no stones or polyps. The best solution would be to perform cholecystectomy and it may relieve your pain and difficulties permanently.
I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us in every time. Kindly regards. Wish you a good health. DR. Ivan Rommstein
