Hello,

Since you had scanty periods (spotting), it could be due to implantation bleeding. If you had been trying for a baby and were not on regular contraceptive pills and did not take emergency contraceptive pills within 72 hours of unprotected sexual intercourse, it could be due to pregnancy.

Get urine and blood test done at the earliest to confirm pregnancy. If the reports are negative you should get clinically examined by a gynecologist. Medical conditions that cause irregular periods are poor general health condition, anemia, thyroid issues, PCOD, hormonal problems, etc. You will be treated and managed accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
