What Causes The Pain In The Right Side Of The Abdomen?
I am having really bad pain on my right side from at the top of me abdomen to just below my breast. It started last night. The painn was so bad I could nt hardly stand up and when I tryed it felt like I was ripping something. The pain finally went away after 20mins or so but now its back but not as bad but still painful. What could this be? I have no health problems outside of low blood and asthma.
Hello and welcome to HCM, Pain on right side of abdomen could be due to intra-abdominal organs or it could be due to disorders of abdominal wall. Since, the pain is reaching upto the chest, it could be due to some disease of chest wall or pleura. I suggest you to get an ultrasound of the abdomen to assess the status of intra-abdominal organs. If the intra-abdominal organs are within normal limits, the abnormality of abdominal wall or chest wall is suspected. Consult your primary healthcare provider for clinical assessment and relevant investigations.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja P Wahal
