I peeled all the skin off my nose but still have some of the same skin on my cheeks and a little between my eyebrows. I am using Fenistil gel but it hurts so badly.. please help am so scared that i will get a multi-color nose then
Hello. Thanks for writing to us at healthcaremagic
Peeling after a sunburn is part of the healing process. The new skin that will reveal itself after a sun burn would be pink and sensitive and therefore might get irritated easily. Don't take off the dead skin forcibly; let it come off by itself. You may use a bland moisturizer e.g vaseline, twice daily, till the whole of skin peels off. Alternatively, you may also use an OTC topical steroid e.g cortisone cream, twice daily for a few days. Always use a broad spectrum sunscreen whenever out in the sun and reapply every 2-3 hours.
