What Causes The Rib To Slightly Protrude And Soreness At The Tip?

Hi, my lower left rib feels like it is slightly protruding and is sore at the very tip closest to me center. Why is this? It feels bruised but it is not visibly purple nor it is protruding visibly, however I can feel it sticking out significantly more than my lower right rib.

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be most likely due to costochondritis. It is better to have a consultation with your doctor and have an x ray to rule out any deformity. Anti inflammatory gels like ketoprofen for local application will be helpful. If pain is more you can take oral ketoprofen also. If there is no improvement even after this then local injection of corticosteroids or anesthetics will be helpful.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
