What Causes The Sensation Of Something Stuck In The Throat?
Hi. I am experiencing something in my neck for quite some time. It feels as if something is stuck in my neck but when I try to cough it out, it doesn t come out. It is not painful or something. Its just a kind of nuisance. I have tried using my fingers to create a vomiting sensation. Some sputum like thing comes out and I feel like that thing reduced a bit. But again afterwards, its the same. Sometimes I feel that I can just spit it out when it moves a bit. I can t even swallow that thing. It just stays there. Please suggest a remedy.
There are a number of causes for feeling of something stuck in throat/neck like acid reflux, diverticula, enlarged thyroid, Oesophageal webs, tumors, stress and anxiety etc..
So you should consult an Emergency room and get evaluated. A clinical examination can be done followed by Endoscopy to rule out the cause of the symptoms and then further treatment and investigations can be advised..
For now you can take soft diet and eat your food by chewing well. You should keep stress minimal if you are stressed.. The physician can advise you removal of obstruction if any ruled out..
Hope this helps..
Regards..
