What Causes The Sensation Of Tightness In The Left Lower Jaw?
Hello, I have been feeling a tightness in my left lower jaw for some years now. After a sudden anxious reaction to a situation, I have felt this discomfort. When I become anxious I am more aware of its presence, as it feels like my jaw is being squeezed even tighter.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of sensation of tightness in the left lower jaw which seems to be due to sudden stress leading to TMJ disorder( temporomandibular joint).
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to visit dentist once and get complete examination done and start treatment accordingly. You should do mouth stretching exercises. Avoid opening mouth too wide. avoid intake of hard food substances from that side.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
