What Causes The Sound From The Tonsils And Vocal Cords?

It is concerning my throat. Specifically my vocal cords and tonsils. It is hard to describe, but it feels like my tonsils are crowding the muscles around my cords and the cords. Sometimes (more and more frequently lately) I can feel little bits of the cords touch at random and a high pitched squeal (quite different from wheezing and lasting up to half a minute) occurs. While this happens I can feel it, hear it, and it is driving me nuts. The sound and my tonsils are affecting my sleep and my ability to take meds (increased gag reflex). Being a 29 year-old singer (Operatic Bass-Baritone), my voice is my life, so I am curious if you may have any answers to my problem.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello
You must be having obstruction sleep apnea. Please get endoscopic evaluation of airway and polysomnography. If tonsils are obstructing airway, they have to be removed.
