What Causes Thick Creamy Discharge During Pregnancy?

My last period was on 28th apr 2011, this month i didnt get my periods currently im on thyroid medication which is around 4.6 i feel cramping near my lower abdomen i took a hpt last night and it was positive, and im getting which thick creamy discrge too is this normal or is there any thing to concerned about.Iam 35 yrs old and this is my first baby.
