Can you have a sinus infection without the mucus being yellow or green. I have had serious mucus that is white and thick like glue. My nose is not stuffed, but I can feel constant pain and pressure in my sinuses in cheeks and teeth hurt and ears will clog. Saw ENT and was told it was not an infection and just swelling and also that my Eustachian Tube was irritated and not functioning. She put me on Flonase and Prilosec (she thought that maybe the Eustachian Tube was irritated by the heartburn). I took for a week and felt little relief and the sinus pressure is unbearable at night. Also, I do feel like I am always swallowing over a mucus lump in my throat. Went to see another ENT who suggested Prednisone. Any advice?? Thanks.
