What Causes Thick Oily Discharge In Left Breast During Periods?

Hello for the past 3 months I ve been experiencing a really really thick gooey oil around my left breast when I m about to start my period. I am sexually active, and I am not on any type of birth control. I am 95% sure I am not pregnant. I m just curious what this might be.

Hi,

Breast discharge could be due to infections,tumour like growth or hormonal reasons.All these causes should be ruled out. Histopathological examination and culture and sensitivity of the discharge should be done.

Intra-ductal papilloma are noncancerous growths in the ducts of the breast. They are the most common cause of abnormal nipple discharge. When they become inflamed, intra-ductal papillomas may result in nipple discharge that contains blood or is sticky in texture.
