hi dear, thin gray layer inside mouth is secondary to excessive smoking. excessive smoking leads to fibrosis of buccal mucosa and then after difficulty in opening of mouth. so s early as possible to quit smoking and start gargles and according to advise by dentist. quitting of smoking helps a lot. also consult ENT specialist. and psychiatrist if you are not able to quit smoking by your self. Thank you.
