What Causes Throat Congestion In A Heart Patient?

hi my dad had stent placed in LAD in 2008 aug. He is on regular medication that is ecospirin, clavix, avas20, angizaar H and nitroglycerin since than and we got his angiography repeated in nov 2009. But since one week he some time feel mild congestion in throat area that is for few seconds otherwise his all test and levels are normal. he does walk also regularly. Can u please let me know the cause. His right coronary has many collaterals and LAD is Stented

Hello,

Heart failure may cause lungs congestion, breathing difficulty, dyspnea on lying down position.

But throat congestion may be due to allergy or pharyngitis or acid reflux due to drugs.

So use tablet pantoprazole. Avoid cool'drinks and freeze water. Use tablet montelukast and levocetirizine.

If symptoms not improved please consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
