What Causes Throat Discomfort And Difficulty In Swallowing?
Hi...For maybe a year now I feel an off and on sensation of something in my throat that moves up and down...Sometimes I can feel it move into my chest cavity if I do prolonged swallowing over and over...Now the thing is its not painful in any way...just really annoying... But sometimes I go weeks and weeks without feeling it much, then I feel it ridiculously sometimes...Was really scared it might be something like lung cancer but I have no (blood) coughing, no wheezing, no bone-pain, weight-loss (i wish) or headaches associated with this annoyance...Just like a tiny ping-pong ball that moves up and down like an elevator... I m 6 3, 250 lbs and am 38...What the heck is this?
hi there can be two common reason for the difficulty in swallowing 1) local lesion at upper esophagus level- some narrowing or obstruction by something web like formation. proper examination may required for confirmation. 2) it can be manifestation of some systemic disease e.g. iron deficiency anemia . so for systemic reason you may require the blood examination to find out the cause.
