What Causes Throat Irritation And Cough

I have a tickle in my throat causing dry, non productive cough. I saw NP on Friday because my chest was also tight. She thought I had bronchitis. She prescribed steroids and ibuterol. Chest tightness is improved but tickle and cough remain. Reading symptoms on webmd I suspect allergies not bronchitis. Would you recommend I start an antihistamine?

Hi sure the best would be to take fexofenadine. This will take care of the tickle or irritant cough and prevent build up in the chest--regards
