When I wake up, after having a glass of wine (or any alcohol for that matter) the day before, there is always this odd feeling in my throat. It's almost like there's something stuck there and it makes me feel like I'm on the verge of vomiting all day. At first I thought that it was something along the lines of nausea, but my stomach feels fine. It's just my throat that causes the problem. Any idea what this may be? Facts about me: I'm 22 years old, 5'0, 137 lbs, and no serious medical history. Prone to sinus infections every fall, but that's the worst of it.
Hi, thanks for the query. Wine contain alcohol which is a dehydrating agent. Since wine mainly we drink undiluted , it causes dehydration of throat. Your are having sinus infection also during fall this result in post nasal drip which predispose for dehydration of throat. So to prevent dryness in throat use diluted alcohol or use water in between drink. Hope this information helpful to you, take care and have a nice day.
