What Causes Throat Pain Along With Nose Bleeds While On Doxy Antibiotic?
It s like I have tonsilitis. I was taking antibiotics for a month or two because I had a my exams and didn t want any problem during my exams. So the doctors prescribed dox antibiotics for me. And then suddenly when I woke up three days back since then I have a lot of pain in my throat. And 4-5 days back even blood came out of my nose. So Is it throat cancer? I am very scared please tell me
If you currently have a sore throat, it is likely that the blood is due to irritation/inflammation of the nose and throat passages due to infection.
It is unlikely related to cancer unless you are an older person who has a prolonged history of long term smoking and alcohol use.
Most infections are viral so you can try fluids, rest and pain killers to see if this helps. This would include paracetamol, ibuprofen or naproxen. Local gargles/sprays may also be used eg chloroseptic, diflam, covonia throat spray
I hope this helps
