What Causes Throat Pain Upon Swallowing And Coughing?
I’m getting over flu and throat would get sore when coughing or swallowing. I noticed now that feels to be on left side, tender to touch and slightly swollen on that side of neck. Now, get occasional SHARP pain for no reason ( no coughing or swallowing). Ibuprofen helps a little with the dull pain I get when swallowing but sharp one kicks in once in a while just as a reminder.

I think because of the cold and soreness you've developed tonsillitis .
I want to know from you whether you've had any history of tonsillitis before ??
Try to avoid cold stuff as much as possible for now . and visit an ent soon
you can take strepsils lozenges for the irritation
syrup grillinctus for the cough
