What Causes Throat Pain While Suffering From A Deviated Uvula?

Hi I have a deviated uvula (to the left) and consistent pain going down the right side of my throat whether swallowing or just breathing. Have had some odd chest pain in the right hand side as well but I don t know if this correlates. What s the diagnosis?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Deviated uvula does not cause any throat pain. Throat pain may be due to laryngitis or tonsillitis. Kindly consult with ENT surgeon for a detailed examination. You may require antibiotics after consultation. Do saline water gargle.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam Kale,
Family and general physician
