What Causes Throat Pain While Swallowing?

My throat feels really bruised its not a sore throat but hurts to swallow. It s happened three times over the few days and last for really long periods of time. It will go away & come back randomly. First I thought it was something I was eating that I was allergic too but the third time around I have a short dry cough every so often.

Your posterior pharynx examination has to be done because inflammatory swelling can lead difficult swallowing....

Second you are having cough at this third time, so If you are having post nasal drip secondary to viral infection than it can be cause

Here you might prescribed simple antihistaminic drug for cough....

Drink hot water and avoid excess spicy and fried foods

Depending on examination further specific treatment given....
