What Causes Throat Ulceration And Viral Infection In The Nose?
Hi, I have recently been sick with severe throat ulceration, both a bacterial (ears) and viral infection, nose and throat. It was sudden onset and required admittance to hospital overnight to reduce swelling in throat and IV fluids (steroids, pain killers & antibiotics) - this was over three weeks ago....now the throat swelling has calmed down, I know have a large, tender swollen lump in my left collar bone. Any ideas?

Hello,
Your symptoms seem to be related to a tonsillitis which is an infection of the tonsils. The swollen lymph nodes are related to the infection. I suggest to use anti-inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the symptoms.
