What Causes Throbbing Abdominal Pain, Minor Vaginal Discharge And Lump On Cervical Lip?
Hi... I m 36 years old. 1 child who is 13 years old. I have the mirena IUD.... just started experiencing contraction like throbbing pain. I haven t had sex in over5 months. checked the string and all is SEEMING normal. Minor discharge. There IS odor tho. Also found a pistachio nut sized lump on the outside lip ofmy cervix. I know about th mucus glands that can get plugged. Have no insurance currently and have a family history of breast and cervical cancer. Help!
As there is discharge and odor, the following are few possibilities: 1) Vaginitis or vaginal infection 2) Cervical polyp 3) Bartholin's cyst 4) Hematoma 5) Sebaceous cyst 6) Lipoma
As you have a family history of cervical cancer, you need to undergo the following tests: 1) Clinical examination of vagina 2) Pap smear 3) Excisional biopsy of the lump
Please do consult a gynecologist for further evaluation and appropriate treatment.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
