What Causes Throbbing Hip Pain Radiating To The Leg?

I work on my feet all day (housekeeper) When driving home after working, after about fifteen minutes my hip starts throbbing. The pain gets more intense, after about ten more minutes, then the pain travels to the back of my knee, and eventually down the entire leg. By the time I arrive home, after approximately forty five minutes, I am in so much pain, and can barely get out of the car. Could this be a type of arthritis, artery disease, or some type of pinced nerve

Physical Therapist or Physiotherapist 's  Response
hi,

as you mentioned your symptoms it looks like a pinched nerve. You can also undergo an MRI of lumbar spine which will help to come closer to fhr soft tissue injury. Also, you should initially begin to take rest and breathing exercises. Post that the physical therapist will help by use of ultrasound therapy for reducing muscle spasm and TENS therapy for reducing the radiating symptoms.

Also the therapist will teach you core stability, spine strengthening and lower limb strengthening as well.

Usually by performing regular exercises cent percent of the cases improve and the symptoms subside.

With the grace of God I wish you a good health.

regards
